I don't despise it. For me there are times when i like to have it on but, like others have said, if i know it's going to be a quick stop I either try to keep the truck rolling or i'll disable the ASS just to keep it from shutting off for 1 sec.

Any chance it's related to cruise control during long downhill stretches? I took a long road trip once and I was amazed at how well it maintained my speed on steep downhill runs...figured it was using the brakes.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I felt it squat when they loaded it but it doesn’t look bad at all. It also didn’t feel sluggish in any way.
I’m not exaggerating about the ride quality either….so much smoother. So much so that I might look into suspension upgrades.
