I understand the position of 5g members who do not want to be linked to 6g. For myself, I am assuming that I will more than likely be buying a 6g Ranger at some point, so I do not mind checking out stuff over there before the time comes. (I went ahead and joined over there so that I can react and comment, but I hang out here much more, where the content is oriented to our present 5g Rangers and the members are so congenial--not to mention the damper jokes!)
I'm trying to remain frugal and not eyeball the new gen. It'll be hard enough to pass up once they hit the roads.

Admins have been quiet w this thread. I guess that gives us our answer. Maybe we need to start calling each other curse words to get their attention.

wonder what would happen if any 6G linked post got reported?

Got tricked into checking a thread over there.

Noticed Dave is a mod there as well. Gotta get those sales!

Sales of what? Isn't the 6g allegedly coming with a damper standard?
Who knows?

He's probably marketing a purse, I mean handbag, holder for his "people" as we speak.

Feel the same way about all the "Goodbye" posts, even the fakeout ones where they upgraded to a newer Ranger or parked next to a Tacoma or something. I worked hard to even find a 2021 Ranger and paid full MSRP for it, but I wanted this Ranger so damn bad. It's my first ever new truck. I came from a 2006 F-350 and before that a 1991 Jeep Cherokee.

Then I go on this forum and the featured posts are littered with "Farewell!" showcases of people's new $80,000 F-150 or Ram 1500 E-Torque they traded their Ranger in for. I'd love a brand new top of the line truck too! Our trucks are still being sold new and with the difficulty Ford is having trouble bringing their flagship Lightning and Bronco to market, I won't be trading my nice new Ranger for awhile. @AzScorpion I hope I'm not out of line- is there any consensus on this?

I don’t like the farewell posts either, but i just skip them. People like the attention (don’t we all, that’s why we post our trucks on the internet). I’m surprised at how many people bought their Ranger just to “hold them
Over” until their bronco arrives.

Not out of line at all Corey. It's the off topic section and even in the regular section everything goes off topic anyways. lol

I don't mind the goodbye post because sometimes a member disappears and you don't know what happened to them and while some don't care many of us do especially when it's a long time member like @EcoRanger. He always posted every Sunday and now he's been gone for months. But IIRC a few criticized his posts and I think that's when he disappeared.

As far as linking the 6G on here I myself don't see what the big deal is. The first time I didn't notice that it was a 6G post but now I just look to see where the thread is coming from. Really is it that hard is it to glance to the right to see that it says 6G? I could see if it were linking the Bronco forum or the F150 forum but many here are interested in the new 6G. So linking the latest news is good for traffic over to that site which many don't realize is even active.

Of course it's not big deal. It's just annoying is all.

I'm not a boomer. I don't pull out my laptop or go to my office just to check out the forum and a few other things. Like most people in the world the vast majority of my web browsing is done on a mobile device. Perhaps I'm missing something. But I don't see this indication you speak of.
