I'm sure this question has come up before but I was not able to find it.
Can we run E85 fuel in our Rangers?
If so anybody notice any difference? E85 has an octane rating of 100.
That is far higher than premium gasoline.

I wouldn’t do it out that in my old edge which can take it and it gave me a turbo boost issue . I then put some ethanol free and it drove better than ever.

For the heck of it Today I out ethanol free in and it drove great got 30 MPG on a 70 mile trip .

truth is ethanol is a waste of time and energy. it takes more energy to produce then you get out of it. It is also tough on fuel components, gasoline isn't a great lubricant but it does a little. But alcohol isn't at all, its more of a solvent. It also has about 1/8 less BTU's that gas has that's why you loose fuel economy with E-85 compared to E-10 or straight gas.

Actually it’s says no more than 15% ethanol so that means technically it’s ok . That said don’t do it ?
Technically OK? Did you really just post that? Amazing....

It says in black and white Do Not Use: E85 fuel.

Yep but I’m telling you the E-15 runs like junk ?
Well, I'm telling the OP the answer to his question. I don't live a corn state so I don't have to worry about E85 or E15.

I wouldn't run E-85 in a Weed-Whacker even if it belonged to my neighbor that I don't like.
