Thanks for the photos but I think that's a different one. The one I linked to is called aeroskin 2 black textured, it looks like it has a little lip on it. Your truck looks nice tho....the grill letters are a nice touch.

AVS install update Ordered my AVS bug deflector ll on Tue 23, estimated delivery 7-30/ 8-2. Received yesterday 7-25. Did install this morning. Install time less than 1hr. This was my procedure.
1 deburred holes on bug shield
2 cleaned leading edge of hood.
3 placed moving blanket over engine bay, if you drop a pin it may be hard to locate if ever located. They only supply 8 that are needed.
4 test fit bug shield and marked hood with calk at locations pins needed to be removed
5 remove needed pins
6 reinstall bug shield under rubber seal and locate the holes, rubber will hold it in place
7 insert new pins, make sure pin is completely inserted in hole before setting the screw
8 clean chalk marks off hood
As far as I am concerned the pin removal tool is a must have.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

WOW that thing looks kind of chunky. But it does have the lip driving air over the cab along with many bugs and crap. I think the AVS II is a better solution. But looks are subjective. I would want to see that on somebody's truck.
Yeah, it does look big....I definitely need to see more pics tho before I rule if out. I do like how it seems to hug the hood & since it's flat black it could look good with sport trim....I have silver with sport PKG.

That's not the one that was shown earlier. The other has the lip to deflect flying objects. Yours looks like it will catch rocks at the leading edge but may not deflect the air over the cab.

Thank you! When I get it in the mail, I will report how the install went.
So I got it today but it is slightly different than yours. Mine was adhered with tape on the top and bottom. The install sheet says "AVS Aeroskin II". I guess it is a different one.

It went on fine. I think it looks pretty good and will definitely protect the front of the hood (which already had two rock chips in it).

Mine is the AVS Bugdeflector II. It has the lip on top edge to push bugs up & over the roof. I believe yours is just a straight edge more of a protector than a deflector.

I have the same AVS. took all of 15 minutes to install with supplied fasteners. I did get a removal tool from Autozone for $9. took off the OEM fasteners in a minute for all....

Well, it has a lip which looks like it will deflect things. But for me, it is probably more important to protect the front edge of the hood - seeing as how I already had two rock chips (in 3 1/2 months). I would have preferred the mounting like you had, but this works - I don't think it is ever coming off, though. :) That is a LOT of double sided tape!
