I plan to buy the WeatherTech hood protector and side window deflectors.
I 'm just waiting for them to produce the window deflectors for the SuperCab.
They already have them for the SuperCrew and are now about a month late on the promised production date for the SuperCab.

Do the hood deflectors help protect the windshield? I’ve never had one.

AVS Bug Deflector II

I make sure there is a lip on the deflector as the AVS does. I see all kinds of bugs and crap get lifted over my windshield. Wouldn't own a truck without it. Some deflectors are only meant to avoid rock strikes on the leading edge of the hood and have no lip. But they look better, Being a function over form kinda guy I chose the Bug deflector II as I had on the Tacoma.

Thanks for info. Started this thread before I found the AVS thread. Which I recommend others to check out. Got mine ordered should have it by the end of next week. Found it on Amazon $53.48 free shipping.

The install is not as straight forward as the Tacoma one. It installs UNDER the hood seal. The pins come out pretty easy. Thats a great price!!

I just purchased one of these as well. Do you have photos of your install so I do it correctly?

Here's what it should look like. . it's pretty easy. line up the mounting holes in the deflector with the pins in the seal under your hood ... remove the pins from the seal where the deflector holes are. Slide the AVS with the tabs under the seal replace the pins with the ones they sent. two people can do it faster
