Would that happen only on braking?
Mine does. The harder I brake the worse the shudder. Brakes checked out. Have appointment 16th to get the slip joint looked at.

Let us know what you find out. I have a shudder when braking but it isn't consistent. I need to look at the rear brakes and I've thought about the slip joint too.

I had a really bad shudder while braking, at 46,000 miles I changed the tires it went away instantly. It's almost like the tires were scalloped. My Suzuki 1000 R will scallop if the tire pressure is not good.

Had the same shudder. It is the rear brakes. Same looking rotors as what has been posted here. It was REALLY noticeable when towing (IE Putting more heat into the system). 58,000(ish) miles on the truck. Pads were only half way used, but they're in the trash now.

They're not cracks, and they really don't look like a typical pad deposit. Who the hell knows, if you're getting shuddering from the rear, shit can the rotors and pads. (And don't put Motorcraft ones back on)

Just another in a long line of 'Ford, you could have done better'

And no, the 'cracks' aren't aligned with the vanes, some are, but some aren't, no real pattern I can see.

OK, let the transmission bashing begin. Might as well, every other thread goes there.

As long as we are there, exactly how many have gone bad at 20K, out of all the 10R80s that have been built? Does anybody here actually know?
Sigh, remember the good old days when every thread led to the damper wars? :(
