Here’s a couple pics of how much clearance there is between a 16” aftermarket wheel and the stock brake calipers. As you can see there isn’t much room so you’d definitely want to test fit a 15” wheel before making a decision.

Not to revive a super old thread, but I was wondering what the offset is on these wheels? I've got a set of 16s on order, and I'm hoping the -10 offset gives me that extra peace of mind that they'll clear the calipers.

Retired & glad I made it.
Exactly the info I've been looking for, thanks! Looks like its 16" x as wide as I can get & still leave a little room to not rub on anything haha.

DID we ever get a definitive answer? Hate to bring up a super old topic but just curious. If I wereto try any 15 it would be a stock Toyota truck from the past as the offset is 30 and they are cheap. More sidewall = more traction, more artificial flex and better ride. I just put 16 4runner 6 spoke rims on mine and they are killer with 265/75r16! I do see 1/2-3/4" gap between caliper and rim. 1/2" doesn't sound like much sidewall but the ride is SOOO noticeable when I added an inch of sidewall. Another 1/2 sounds awesome and if you had a nice sidevented rim, you wouldn't have heat problems.
