Hey Guys,

I just wanted to bump this up and start off by saying, we hear your concerns. That's the whole reason we're here on the forums and started this thread, right?

With that, I wanted to let you guys know that we've been steadily working up a proper solution for blocking off the OEM along with our performance intake when installed with the snorkel. Our engineer, Dave, worked up this plug and we just pulled a prototype off of our 3D printers:

I'll keep you guys posted on the progress as the production of these plugs progresses

In all honesty I think that will do enough. Just add a little silicone to the kit with that and you have yourself a true snorkel!!

Just watched the video on Youtube of the install. Seems rather simple and love not having to open that large hole in the fender. Hope I can take advantage of the pre-order and get it before my next camping trip.

The snorkel still has to attach to an intake box right? Or does the aftermarket intake box not matter over factory with the snorkel?

The Borne snorkel connect to either stock air box or Mishimoto's box...

Right, but which box gives irrelevant gains is what you are saying?
I'm not understanding your question...I assume for flow gains, Mishi would say their box is better but the snorkel kit is separate of flow discussion...like talking down pipe versus exhaust pipe...

Honestly if you are going to install either the Mishimoto or ARB snorkel you are best doing one of two things. Keeping the factory intake and swaping the filter of get the Roush intake as it retains the lower unit. Other intakes dont seem to be any better when installing a snorkel.
