I did an image search for tailgate murals and there are some really good ones out there.

And this one is actually a $50 vinyl wrap, but pretty good.

But having the eagle, the flag, and the cross on there it's also the one most likely to get your truck keyed nowadays.

I vote for velvet Elvis, but will it work sideways or with him in reclining position? I am no Bob Ross, but if velvet Elvis is standing and singing in the classic rendition, it would be hard to fit him in, unless you have a velvet concert hall filled with velvet fans as well?

We use to go to this small town pizza place back in high school and they had all sorts of velvet paintings hanging on the wall with the dark wooden frames. To this day the Velvet Elvis is the one that stands out the most. lol

There was a little pizza shop by work we'd go to once in a while an they had every Elvis painting imaginable an some other 50's stuff...we called it the hound dog cafe

When I lived in Pensacola there were roadside stands selling the velvet paintings...even saw an Elvis bust lawn ornament.

The Bob Ross parity guy has a ton of those, I'm surprised the evil empire hasn't kicked him off yet.

meh vinyl isn't as fun as painting and all the happy accidents that go with it and my taste changes daily. it's not hard to sand off and paint white again. I'm more worried about all the dings and scratches.... it's a truck and gets abused like a truck

Fair enough. Are you doing the work yourself or having someone else do it? If you're the artist, then I can see why you'd want to paint ha.

I want to do it myself, hence the original question what type/brand of paint if anybody had any experience doing something like this
