I’m going to have another platform installed over the cab of the truck (getting put on tomorrow). Even though the guys who did my topper put the Rhino Rack as far to the rear as the tracks allowed, I was concerned that it projected too much over the cab and might interfere with the second platform.

So, today I loosened the bolts connecting the cross pieces from the rest of the platform and slid it back a few inches. There are 36 bolts, 12 per crosspiece, so it was a bit of a pain, but it worked.

Hopefully this leaves enough room for the folks installing the platform on top of the cab to get it on there tomorrow.

not to put too fine a point on it but it is only available on the Lariat editions. it was not available on the tremors

Got the second Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform installed over the cab yesterday.

I’ll admit being OCD enough that not being able to drop the rear rack quite far enough down to match the height of the front one bothers me a little bit. The rear rack is attached to the tracks in the topper; if I’d gone with a direct bolt-on install it would probably sit a bit lower. The tracks are probably a more solid setup though. In any case the very slight difference in height shouldn’t affect the utility.

Any Chance you could measure the height between the Decked top to the rubber gasket on the rear window and from the Decked to to the cab top? I have the same cap set up, and was looking to see if there would be clearance for a Dog Kennel I keep in the truck.

Sure. 19.5” from the Decked to the rear window. 25.5” to the ceiling.

Any idea on the total weight added from each of those parts? Any options on that topper? My guess is that combined those are close to 700lb, likely leaving only 600lb of payload.

Leer 100XL – ~200lbs
Decked – 205lbs
Topper Rhino Rack – ~55lbs
Cab Rhino Rack – 55lbs
Total – ~515lbs
