Ordered the Bilstein leveling struts for the front (and shocks for rear) and been watching way to many videos on suspension swaps this weekend. Figured out most of what needs done but a few videos left me wondering if I need to order all new nuts for everything you have to take apart to move out of the way. I will be taking the wheel hub nut off so I don't risk the cv joint. Most everyone just slapped it all back on and torqued it, couple people were throwing a fit over these nuts are single use only.

Also wonder if I need to reuse the OE bumper on the struts, it wasn't called out in the install paper.

Thanks!

Crap, just realized I posted in tires instead of suspension. Can a mod move please?

I will be installing my bilstien front struts next week. Rear wheel drive so no axle nuts but got the rest from Ford this week. 10 nuts $43.05. They are nylock nuts. You could probably get away with blue locktite but I elected to replace them. The paperwork with my struts shows the ”OE dust boot & jounce bumper” assembly being reinstalled. Good Luck my friend.

I'm on the 4th suspension in less than a year (product testing) all of the nuts and bolts are still factory, yet we're thinking we should start replacing them going forward. No issues so far though.

Just an update to close out this thread, had to call a million places to get an alignment done after the leveling is done. Virtually no one would touch it saying it's not oem to it needs special alignment keys. Finally found a 4x4 places that was confused why no one would do the alignment. That and labor to install the struts, $450 out the door. So they will be doing it lol.

Thanks guys!
