check out Tire Rack, look up your ranger and look at category touring, Highway All Season.
Plenty of reading and opinions on Tire Rack.
watch the video on many tires. I have always wanted to try to the Kumo crugen but don't put any miles on my trucks anymore where I need tires.
Thank you towpro. I did that with the vehicle option but didn’t specifically look down only highway all season. I think that’s how I came across a few of these options. Will have to double back after reading suggestions here.

Brandon, you might be best with two sets for what you're looking for. I love my Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they're pretty aggressive so they're great off road. They still are great on the street too and very quiet but you're not going to get the performance in the street with them you're looking for. Unless you don't care about going off road much look at the ones Chris has.

Hey it's only money. lol

Haven't got the gateway drug (damper) yet but I'm feeling the pressure :whew: . Still considering the "ups and downs" of owning a Damper

Don’t let the tail drop between your legs. Stay strong, I’m Brandon and I haven’t been sober since Jan 27, 2021, my official join date to the drug, RANGER5G pill. ? don’t try the damper, you might forget you are in this dimension with the tea time solo left pinky raised up high opening it. :inspect:

I'm disappointed in you Paul. After all my damper posts and you're still resisting? Maybe another round of hypnosis is necessary??

Obviously, the "Dampager" needs to do a little 'metal" work in someone's neighborhood...

I need to change the subject from Dampers to digging up old threads which is what I am best at! ;)

Thank you Dave, after this thread sits for a while I will look into that. Not in too much of a rush atm since the Falken's will do 95% of everything I want, just sometimes those fast turns and a slight imperfection in the road and my tire jumps/turns a little bit.

I'll admit I didn't read the whole thread but this is usually more indicative of a suspension issue than tires. Tires can certainly contribute.

Does it "bump, jump, and skid" or "smoosh, bouncy and skid?"

If it's curves you're having trouble with mostly:

1) Slow TF down with AT tires. This is not their forte.
2) Run a dedicated high performance or touring tire. Then slow TF down because your Ranger is not a Camaro SS (regardless of your offroad suspension tweaks).

More like a bump, jump and skid. Does that mean I need better suspension? Would smoosh be worst feeling or better?

Appreciate the concern, I truly do. You’d be surprised at what the ranger can do though, as long as you aren’t hitting crazy curves, it can handle quite well. I slowly stress tested with 3 mph more each time, the second I feel loss of control is unsafe, I mental note that daily drive area or road type for future encounters. Ranger will handle a lot more but I keep the center of gravity low with stock stance, feel it helps with not being as high up after lifting/leveling up.

The trucks come out here from the factory with Dunlop Grandtrek tyres, they're pretty crap off road but fairly quiet and grippy on the tar. For off road I agree with the others here Falken are an excellent buy. I currently run Yokohama Geolanders which work well on and off road but are a bit noisy and a chirpy on the tar ( seem to be very sensitive to different bitumens) and have gotten more so as they wear.
For onroad only use I would also look at Pirelli Scorpion ATR's or anything by Michelin.

Interesting hobby Paul has. Might have to take a peek at these 2018 threads.
Just don't tell Dave that I've been there :lipssealed:! Who knows, I might be able to get into the 1st post that was made on this site and set the record straight! :sunglasses:
