Battery saver mode question

Got the vehicle in battery saver mode alert yesterday. Exactly 14 days since I left it at home plugged into my Noco Genius 5 charger. When I left it the battery was fully charged and in the maintenance mode ( pulsing green light). I’ve read that it will throw this alert based on vehicle inactivity ( 14 days). Even with no battery issues. Has anyone else had this experience?

That’s how it works. After 14 days it goes into saver mode.

Something to keep in mind. Your truck has a variable voltage system. Along with that variable voltage it also has a battery monitoring system. Both go hand in hand. For both to work correctly they use a amp meter on the negative terminal of the battery. Technically it's on the cable right by the terminal. Depending on how you have your battery charger hooked up will depend on whether the variable voltage and BMS are seeing that charger do stuff. The main part comes down to where the ground is connected. If it's directly at the negative post of the battery then it is a problem. If you have a connected to the ground on the chassis/body then all should be good. Verify that the ground is where it should be. If it isn't then it needs to be changed.

As for battery saver, even with the charger hooked up correctly it may still go to sleep because you haven't been using the vehicle.

Ground is at the ground post on the fender. I think it hit the 14 day trigger without having battery issues. I’ll find out in April when we get back home

Ground is at the ground post on the fender. I think it hit the 14 day trigger without having battery issues. I’ll find out in April when we get back home
Chances are the battery is okay if you're waiting that long to even move the vehicle. A lot of modern vehicles have way more electronics in them than they should and can easily drain a battery. That is why we have battery saver mode in modern vehicles

With this cold weather, mine went into battery saver mode. 2022 XL FX4. 33000 miles. Does that mean I need a new battery, and if so how much would the dealership charge?

Thats how my noco 10 2021 lariat acts as after a time not starting the vehicle, I get that message. I haven't had any issues and the battery is fully charged and to get rid of the message start the vehicle. Been working like that for over 1.5 yrs.

Mine did that a few times that I had the Ranger. My Bronco seemed to be doing it a lot for a couple months. I keep a battery tender on it when it is going to sit for a few days but even then it gave me that message the day after driving it on a long trip. I did the BMS reset procedure. Not sure if the Ranger is the same but it forces the BMS to relearn the state of charge. I haven't gotten the message since. It is a press the start button but do not crank, then press the brake 5 times and wait for the battery light to flash on the dash and it's done. Also do make sure you hook up the battery tender as stated earlier. Positive to positive post and negative to a body ground and not at the battery terminal.
