They are most likely referring to a vehicle that might still be running when trying to disconnect the battery. I have seen people do this and take out the ECM and PCM.If you need to replace a battery, this seems odd...
- P 230: Do not disconnect the battery of the disabled vehicle as this could damage the vehicle's electrical system.
