I think I’m going to unplug the BMS connector on the Battery… it also kills auto start/Stop

any objections?

If your goal is to disable the auto start stop you could simply just get a tune and get more power. I can't remember if there's a particular setting in ForScan to turn it off.

I don’t want to tune the truck. Those days are long gone for this guy.

and I don’t need more power.

I take from this thread that the BMS really isn’t a good thing and though before I drop money on auto stop/start eliminator I’d just unplug the connector

Only comment is that for some disconnecting the bms is either a venture into the murky unknown or removes the curiousity of experimenting to find the ideal soc level but once you proceed to disconnect you'll discover that you made the simplest and best decision contrary to Mike macaloopo youtube admonishments . Just do it!

The BMS seems to under charge the battery over time, you can have a brand new battery and it will under charge, to the point where it will kill it within the warranty.

Good thing Costco and a few other places have good exchange policies. This truck seems to annihilate them every 2 years!

The batteries at Costco are most likely made to be very cheap and won't last worth a damn. I can't remember if it put bits and pieces in here or not but I know there is a thread about the joyful 3 battery manufacturers and where they stand between each other
