Bak Revolver X4s tonneau cover problems

I have had the Bak Revolver X4s on my truck since 2022 and I am actually on my 2nd cover as the first one separated on the edge and now the 2nd one is also. Bak says I can get a new Revolver top or another cover. Which BAK cover should I get? The Bakflip MX4 or another Revolver X4s top?
Seems they are probably made out of the same materials with the same warranties.

Guess I will switch to the bakflip mx4 and avoid the vinyl material.

Yikes. those cap pieces come off easy. The 1st one I threw out I stripped for parts.

My end cap did the same just as fast. I don’t remember what glue I used, but it’s still attached.

I had the Ford branded BakFlip and it was okay, certainly no issues like that. Even though I took it off and put it back on one time it wasn't anything close to what I would call water tight from day one. And trifold does limit your box space somewhat, and can block your rear sightlines.

Now I have a different truck but it has an Enthuze soft rollup and I am very impressed with it. I remember the OG rollups would get all saggy and ugly but nowadays they have lightweight crossmembers and all that jazz. Things in there stay dry, and while it is a tad less secure than a hardshell trifold I would go with this one again if I had to replace it.

I have one for three years now with no problems.... Hmmmm, wondering if that is a defect waiting to show its ugly head?

I'm in Florida and it sits outside in the rain and more rain and then hot humid heat. So the vinyl doesn't have a chance like a bad convertible top.

Which part are you referring to as the "end cap"?

The plastic rectangular end of the rubber seals that has a pin that inserts into the hole that

Bak sent me a new Bakflip Mx4 to replace the revolver since I have had 2 tops with the revolver that have failed in less than a year each. My bed is line-x lined and as such to use the mx4 I will have to find a place to run the water lines which as I recall was the reason I opted against it in the first place. How much water actually drains down these lines? Is is worth cutting the bed liner to push the hoses out?
