I REALLY hate the “auto stop start“ (ASS) crap and have been putting up with that ASS crap for over five years until someone finally told me to plug in a damn 99 cent night light to the AC outlet to keep my ASS turned off. Now I don’t hate that ASS crap so much cause it doesn’t come on and it saves me the laborious task of pushing that ASS OFF button every time I start my Ranger. I think I have ASS induced arthritis from pushing that miserable ASS crap button now. Think I’ll call my lawyers, Bingle, Bangle, and Bunghole to sue the government for damages to my elbow and shoulder.
And, thanks to the guy that told me to plug the night light in to stop that ASS crap from working……….
Hows that for getting back on track..??? 😁😁😁😁😁
If you are getting pains from pushing the button, you must be on team damper! Use those damper arms!! Lol

Oh definitely, just like the headlight issues. $500 credit where just one side is like 3x as much. 🙄
THAT one ticked me off more than any other new car problem I've ever had. I spent hours trying to get a reasonable amount of money/credit for THAT screw job.

But getting back on subject... Get ready, I hope you're sitting down... Don't hurt me...

I just laughed my ASS off!:LOL::sunglasses:

Sorry! I'm not proud of that, but no one else said it.
Also, I'm now following this thread.

@dozxab Are you telling me I could have told them to remove the stupid A.S.S. when I had my truck put together!
😭 😭 😭 😭

It was during the whole covid thing and took a while to get my truck because of the chip and some of the other add-ons I wanted to my STX.

Mine was a 22 left over I got in May of 23. I asked about it and that's what they told me. I also got all the winter stuff and it was at a dealer in Phoenix. They said they were literally taking anything they could get their hands on at that time. Fine for me, I live in the mountains of AZ where we actually get winters and a fair amount of snow.

My $2.00 night light is still going strong 6 years and counting. It's probably $6.00 now. :curse:
I bought the cheapest led night light at Walmart yesterday and it was abut $2.50. Just had to put a little piece of black tape on the sensor to keep the light on.

Lane assist is a love hate relationship with me. I hate it around town and always have it off but I do find it useful on the highway and would say I use it there 75% of the time. Especially when I'm traveling long distances and Chris @Chris M is texting me and I'm eating my lunch at the same time and driving with my knees. Then it helps keep me in my lane.
I’ve had poor experience with the lane assist (maybe because I have the XLT trim.), but I got pulled over for unsteady driving..(basically officer thought I was buzzed..I was not buzzed.)
Turns out I fight with the dang thing.. so I just keep it off.. I don’t get along with the Ranger robots.😅

"Officer, I haven't been drinking it's the damn lane assist!"

Step out of the car and walk the line!

Hahaha he did request a field sobriety test… I didn’t feel like dancing.. so i just immediately requested the breathalyzer. That put it all to bed rather quickly, I was back on my way about 45 mins later.

Resurrection.

I wonder when we'll start to see new cars sold that are A.S.S. less? 🤔 2027 probably wishful thinking I bet. Maybe 2028?
IDK when but I can tell you one thing. Do Not Google Ass Less when anyone's around!:oops::blush:
