Anyone installing CB/ Ham radio and/or NMO antenna mount on your new Ranger?

I am looking to install a radio in my truck (KF0LTF here). I've been eyeballing the Icom IC-2730A. Is there a reason to go with something like the FTM500 over the Icom? This will be mostly for vehicle to vehicle comms while offroading on trips, but I would like good reach (I know antenna plays a big role here too) for emergencies.

For those that used a lip mount on the hood, can you link the one that you've had good luck with? I am just starting to piece together my setup.

It’s a Lido mount. Love their products. Got the FTM500 on it now

Thanks for the info and pics. I was looking at the FTM-500, but since I already have the FTM-400, I'll probably reuse it. It is good to see how it looks installed in the Ranger.
