I am told I need a winch in the Rocky Mountain back country. What is available?

Nothing for custom fits yet. I hope there will be a lower grill mount option someday soon.

Putting a winch in front of your intercooler might hurt performance a little bit. That said, i'd be OK with a front hitch mount that I can disconnect if I need to tow something heavy, or I want to park somewhere and not look like a tasty winch treat.

I'm fabbing my own with 1/4" steel. Going to make the receiver removable and then mount the winch on a winch receiver. So, when I go offroad I can bolt the front receiver on and slide on the winch if I need it. Unbolt the front receiver when I'm on road. Nothing will block airflow once it's off.

can't fabricate my own, so would lean toward the "front runner" and add a receiver to it instead of a winch. Then have the mobile winch option to work at the front or the back.

I've since found and patiently waited for the exact thing I was going to fabricate to release. I should have it in a few weeks. The Westin winch tray.

looks like it mounts in place of the factory tow hooks? I wonder what the tow point on the winch mount is rated for.

Yeah, it bolts to the frame where the stock hooks go. I think it's rated at like 12,000 lbs or something. Check their site for specs.

I like this design. Would need to relocate the adaptive cruise sensor up higher like they require on the ADD bumpers.
@Andy how would you relocate it up higher with factory front setup? I am interested in doing this and I cannot find a spot where the sensor would have an opening like it does now. Does the sensor require to be in an open area?
