I did have Ford customer service/warranty make note of the price charge from dealership and price online. I was going to report, but to be honest I'm just glad to have it over with and got it at the price range I expected.

BTW for anyone needing a new transmission for some reason the new one is being listed for $2.9K right now seems to be a pricing error as remanufactured is still at $5.3k.
It’s not an error, confirmed with dealer. And can actually buy for under $2500

Same comment for me but mine was June 2024.
Mine has actually gotten much smoother now that it is more broken in. I don't even notice the shifts anymore unless I am watching the indicator or tach.

Something I've noticed with my new transmission is a whirring sound kind of like a vacuum when I'm in 4th or 5th gear and accelerating. Ocasionally I hear it around 9th gear as well. Is this normal? I don't remember hearing this before.
I have not noticed any noises from mine, but I have also been wearing hearing aids since I was six, so that may not be the best indication. I wish I could be better help on that front. If anything, it might help to upload the noise so that others can chime in or, perhaps, take it back to the dealer, though; the sneaky, underhanded way that they upped the price to make more money on the repair would make me weary of going back.

Got a new transmission like 2 weeks ago and I have the same noise. Noticed it immediately when I picked it up. Like a vacuum/siren noise. Taking it back next week.

Please let me know how it goes I haven’t had time to take mine back have had a lot of back to back road trips. Transmission seems fine other than that noise.

Will do. My problems are still there even with a new transmission (4th, 8th gear rough shift, bubbles on dipstick). I'm thinking it's the torque converter for my problems and for that noise.

Dropping off mine in the morning to get the transmission and some other things addressed before my esp expires.

On another note I had a tire problem on my wife's Lincoln, was going to put tires on it this fall anyway. My dealership meets or beats all local tire prices. Just so happened that while they waited on the set of tires to arrive Ford had a flash sale , buy 3 tires and get the 4th for $1.00 . Our Lincoln MKX reserve has those God awful low profile tires on it 265/40/R21 tires, no wiggle room on a different sized tire. Either Perelli has kept prices lower than average or the other manufacturers are nuts with their prices so we stayed with the oem Pirelli.

No. They want me to ride with the tech to show him the siren sound because he said he only hears the tires. I said I would but they have to schedule something because the transmission techs are behind. I did notice the noise reduced a lot just on its own, it's still there but not as loud.

Did you ever get this looked at?

Mine is at the dealer getting a transmission rebuild now and I was skimming the forum for After Transmission experiences.
