I don't remember any of these ads! I did own a 70 Duster, but I didn't buy it because of an ad.

Bet your Duster didn't have the slant 6 in it either. And that torsion bar front suspension was terrible, of course nothing handled well with bias ply tires.

Yeah, cars back then may not have handled well, but just look how smooth the ride was on the F-Series. And people complain about the floating feel of our Rangers!
