yowza! looks like the back of the vehicle exploded. battery packs are often back there, so the cell must've had some kind of intense failure i figure. that's my wild a$$ guess.

I was under the impression that batteries go up in flames. not explosions with that much energy. seems to me that something else went boom, not the battery. such as...that red container that came from somewhere within that car.

To answer your question, the propane tank exploded. The guy that was hit, died on the spot.
