Browsing Prime Day I found this.

Looks like a decent low cost alternative to get a drain plug. Even includes a new filter. Although the gasket looks like it should be tossed in the trash.

I wouldn't do anything except a Motorcraft filter on a 10R transmission.

There are already too many battles to fight with them to trust anything else. And I'm all about aftermarket parts most of the time. Just not this time.

The video review is what was convincing. The pan looks pretty comparable to oem in size and layout.

Amazon reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt, there are always some negative reviews on products - some of which I've purchased and the product has been perfectly good, some of the neg reviews one can discern are written by idiots/malcontents, if I were in the market for an aluminum pan I'd not hesitate to buy Chinese - plus if one has Prime it's easy to return purchases.

Now here is a link to CEO Farley who has IMO an accurate assessment of the Chinese auto indusrty - if they ever are allowed to enter the US market - big trouble for the domestic makers.

There's a good chance that this so called 'Chinese knock-off' is made on the same line as others the cost twice as much.

Yes, they do make/manufacture some good quality items, and I'm sure their auto industry is producing some very competitive vehicles. Their trying to compete in a worldwide auto market.
But it's the nitch market and the knock off items that suffer. With the pans their trying to compete with some already proven very good products. They can make them out of whatever quality aluminum they may use and knock them out....but again, it's not like their going to sell thousands upon thousands of them.....lots of trannies out there but just a very few that are going to mod them.
For an item that dosen't have to do with a very important part, a knock off might be OK.....but for an important engine/transmission part......I'll pass.
So again...you pays yo money and yo takes yo chances......
