Looking to do a flush, filter and pan replacement. Looked at Amazon and rockauto to compare prices and came across this has anyone tryed this yet?. Filter gasket, bolts and aluminum pan

I haven’t used this but it has a few good reviews. I would not use their filter or gasket but that’s me. Their marketing really needs help though . Z71 ???

The pan itself might be ok but I definitely wouldn’t use their filter. Who knows if that thing meets standards. It very well could but that’s not a risk I’d be willing to take.

That's quite a bargain and the filter is included. I'd be cautious of the filter being high quality. The pan is more black and white. It either fits or it doesn't, unless it is paper thin.

But paper thin dissipates so much better.

Considering the cost of replacement transmissions and my second one is going in for service after only 21k miles after being replaced, I would spend the money for the known quality. If I keep this truck much longer.

Besides the fact that it is metal and has a drain plug, I don't see the advantage. I would rather go with the PPE pan that has the cooling fins to help assist with fluid temperature being more stable

No, I haven’t but I tried this one and I liked it so much, I bought two more - an extra one for at home and one for the cottage.

I installed the PPE standard capacity pan and an OEM filter and gasket. The PPE pan and cooling fins are more substantial than shown on your Amazon pan. While I was at it I installed a Fitzstick top side dipstick. I paid the PPE premium price for a good pan.

This pan has it all.

1. Bi-metal clad bottom for even heat distribution - no need for fins.
2. Wide mouth opening empties easily - no need for drain plug.
3. Clear glass lid for full view of contents - no need for Fitzstick

And it’s only about $40

I bought it a couple weeks ago. But haven't installed it yet. Gonna install it at same time and my Fitzstick.
