update/received both the PIAA's and Oxilam H7's/ major pain swapping out bulbs so i was only able to test the led's , huuuge light output and color improvement over stock halos in the alpha projectors ,but the oxilams are slightly larger so it was a struggle to get dust cover on but managed it. Fired them up in the garage so everything looked great, as soon as it got dark took a drive and super improvement but there is literally no center fill ! Its a must IMO to run the fogs full time to fill in the center of the truck . Is this to be expected ? or are those oem reflectors just that good ? i know worthless without pics / i'll try to take some pics both with the oxilams and the piaa's tonight and post em up

I can tell you that the lenses in the luxx and the pros are exactly the same. So definitely interested in seeing the pics.

I agree with the fogs on wet and dimly lit roads. I'm running the luxx series

For those interested, here's a couple of output shots of my Novas...there is a bit of a dead spot"directly in front of me, where it "steps up" for the passenger side. Brights will outshine the sun though.

It's done! Way easier than I thought it would be. Did the grill and lights at the same time. Thank you to everyone here for helping me, only took about three hours.

Are these the Pro's or LUX's?

So i realized that the turn signals on the headlights (mine at least) won't work if you have a jumper wire connected to the side markers. So i had to disable my side markers from signaling in order to make my headlights signal properly.

Anyone else have this issue or a workaround?

What jumper wire are you talking about? I didn't have any issues with my set of lights

I ran a wire from the vehicle's wire harness (that controls the turn signals on the headlights) all the way to the side marker lights to enable them to become turn signals. Somehow it disabled the function of the alpha turn signals, but it worked perfectly fine with my XLT headlights.

Gotcha. My guess is due to the way the led lights are supposed to function was causing issues.

Ah, you had your side markers blink. I think part of the AlphaRex design is to be rounded so that the turn indicators are visible from the side. Maybe?

Someone asked me to post a video of the non-headlights, including the blinkers. Here it is:

I recently installed the AlphaRex LUXX lights on my XLT. Does anyone know a way to turn off the complete DRL, without having to actually turn the headlight knob off? I would like an option of running my amber parking lights without have the white DRL lights on at all?

AlphaRex told me that I could cut a wire under the headlight to completely kill the DRL function and changed it to amber only, but that would require removing the headlights to do and I'm not 100% sure I even want to do that mod?

I almost wish I'd just bought a pair of Lariat lights...

Have those of you that installed the AlphaRex lights received the REMOTE FEATURES DISABLED TO PRESERVE BATTERY warning? I started getting these warnings mid-November after a FordPass Connect update in early November.

A thread here suggested it might be due to devices that don't turn off, but I wonder if it is due to these AlphaRex lights being so darned bright. They are the biggest mod I have besides the tailgate damper. Just wondering if there is any correlation.

Of course, it is most likely related to the FordPass Connect update because the timing is so suss, but it is driving me nuts to be here in the Winter and unable to remotely start the truck to get the A/C running.

I havent had an issue of sorts like that happen. If anything whay can cause that sort of thing is an OBD reader that always stays on drainging the battery or tue battery simply going down the drain in life. The best suggestion is to check the obvious and go from there

Are your side markers led or incandescent?

If incandescent, try an led and see if it works. It's likely the incandescent is dropping the voltage down too much due to higher resistance.
