I was wondering if I should get a front wheel alignment? I put the fox 2.0s on it this weekend looks great. Easy job I did in under two hours And yes I did unscrew the axle nuts. The truck drives straight and the steering wheel is still perfectly centered. I talked to a buddy that does these front end leveling kits and he said most likely the toe would be out.

Yes, i believe if you changed the height setting, your toe will likely be slightly out. I'd take it to an alignment shop, but if you have to drive around a bit before you get can get in, I wouldn't sweat it.

No issues driving to alignment shop, just wouldn't go for a roadtrip right now. Oh and if the shop tries to claim they can't align it back to factory spec with the stock upper control arm, they're full of it. I had a standard shop do mine originally (no off-road specialty shop or anything), and they got it back to factory spec just fine.

Yes, get an alignment. In addition to toe adjustment, it may need camber adjusted too.

The reason it still drives straight and has a centered steering wheel is because you modified both the right and left exactly the same (or very close to it), so things are still tracking to center. Likely the toe and maybe camber are a little out equally on each side.

No harm driving for a while, but get it in when possible.

I thought Lariat steered just fine, but after the new shocks-struts-4 wheel alignment Lariat now steers even better.....

I did 2.5 inch leveling struts and I had to max out the camber adjustment (it was way positive camber)and do a bunch of toe adjustment( in or out can’t remember) did the alignment in my driveway and it luckily turned out great. Tires were wearing severely just from the test ride before doing the alignment so definitely do not recommend driving it around unless you’re gonna get new tires tomorrow lol

To my knowledge anything 3 inches and over on our trucks needs new UCAs cuz you can’t adjust camber any further from the lower control arm

I did 2.5 level and was right on the very edge of needing new UCAs to correct camber so I got them. She rite on the sweet spot of perfect camber now.

Hi Clement,

Sorry....I am in the imperative camp....it is imperative you have the alignment checked and adjusted... The old pay me NOW or pay me later....

Phil

i agree with Phil here. Do not drive it at all. Take it in immediately. A mis aligned vehicle can be dangerous on a good day.
