so on my icon leafs, i swear it threw my alignment out some. all my measurments were good off the axle, but seems like thrust angle is off.
anyone have that issue?

Is there a front and back defined for the leaf spring packs? If so, could it be one is reversed? Otherwise, how tight was the leaf spring locating pin in the axle housing? Generally they are loose enough to be able to shift them a bit to get alignment corrected.

Looked back at my alignment numbers before and after doing my spring swap....thrust angle only changed .05°...

There is not designation for right or left , but the the ICON pack has a new bushing in the front eyelet, rear bushing from OEM set is reused...would be hard to to get front to back orientation reversed....

Printouts for alignment...top immediately after spring swap, bottom current after settling time, and upgrading my coil overs to the ICON 2.5 CDCV ET RR...Rear to the 2.5 CDCV piggybacks...

my previous print out was .01 on thrust angle, which is basically dead nuts.

now i did notice this- drivers side caster is 3.2, passenger is 3.0. so its probably wanting to push the truck off the road.
scheduled an appointment tomorrow after work, what numbers should i shoot for with 1.5” of lift and oem ucas? should i just have them do the specs for a tremor since im at the same lift height?

Caster appears to be set to compensate for a crown in the road. Caster alone shouldn't be causing any pull away from road centerline with those numbers.

I'm at 3.0" front lift, about 1.0" rear with no weight in the bed. APG Billet UCA and Tie rod ends, both with adjustable Heim joints. My geometry is modified enough to where Ranger program specs no longer apply...

Your lift is still within program specs..but I would ask alignment tech about setting caster just a little higher towards the high end of Ford specs.

You probably know this already, but just in case, caster is essentially the king pin angle. Caster works to keep your wheels pointed straight ahead, so more caster makes turning that wheel more difficult when rolling ahead (steering more heavy).

Think of a shopping cart, with the front wheels tending to want to go straight, as the turning axis is behind the center of the axle as the wheel rolls on.

Adding distance to the center line of the steering axis to the wheel axle center, adds caster and increases the tendency of the wheel to want to go straight.

got my. alignment touched up. toe was kick due to thust angle being tweaked a tiny bit. i had them use the specs for a tremor.
here is the before and after.
note- stock springs were 0.0 thrust angle, icons were .13 .
its not a great alignment, but good enough and it was free. so no complaints there.

Interesting they have more caster on passenger side versus driver side now. It may tend to drift to the right now especially if the road surface is crowned heavily in the center.

interesting enough- they only hit my toe, never touched the alignment cams.

How much lift did you get out of the leaf spring swap? Had to be a bit to reduce the caster numbers that much.

i pulled the 3rd leaf because they sat too high. im 1/2” above stock. if the pack settles too much ill toss the 3rd leaf back in.
