First thing to check before you do anything. Pull your air filter and make sure it isn’t loaded with crap or a vermin took up home in there. That will definitely affect your airflow issues

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I set temperature to low, fan on highest speed and recirculate on. Only goes a little below 60 when driving. I'm not crazy that it should be lower right? It's struggling to keep the cab cool.
Keep recirculate off for the first few minutes to exhaust (thru the vents at rear of cab) the overly hot air in the cab, then switch it on. The air in the cab on a hot day is 140º, you want to flush that out 1st before circulating cab air thru the condenser. I normaly open the windows for a minute or so while moving to get it out. The air at the vent will be hot at first and slowly cool to the set temp, if its on max cool it should get down to about 45º-50º after awhile, mine gets down to 43º with ambient at 80º after 15 minutes. The AC should have no trouble getting the cab 20-30º below outside temp.
My only question why would you want it to go below 60º, my wife would be freezing at 60º

Excellent, I have ordered a new Motorcraft cabin air filter, it's due to be replaced either way so I will open it up when my new one arrives shortly.

I want to drive a rolling meat locker! But seriously thank you for the detailed reply. I have been experimenting on my drives to and from work with windows down a/c on, recirc on or off, etc.

I found a dealer that is close by that can take a look in two weeks, mostly for my peace of mind. I will report back if my air filter was clogged.

It has been fairly humid this week, thunderstorm today so it is working against that. I have tried going from heat to ac, I can feel the temperature changing and didn't hear dreaded blend door noise but that doesn't mean I'm home free.

Has anyone had any problems with the A/C not cold and not working properly on a 2020 model? Mine now is blowing 60 degrees. Took to dealer found a leak on one of the lines, had to order part then put on and left shop blowing 40 degrees, about 3-4 days later up to 60. When I start it with the remote it blows around 50 turn on key up to 60-65. Anyone having any problems?
Mine wasn't keeping the air cold above 80F outside. Dealer checked it for leaks, found no issues other than the refrigerant was quite over charged from the factory, he said that tricks the compressor to think its low on freon. So they bled the system and recharged it to specs and I've had no issues since and it's been over 90F here.

I just picked my truck up from the dealership. I put in a new cabin air filter myself before I dropped it off. They said they checked my blend doors and they are operating properly, which is good. They evacuated the refrigerant, found no leaks and put it back in since it was the correct amount. It appears to be the same, still not frigid but cold. Definitely a struggle today as its about 95 degrees here in Boston. I'm baffled. Either I am crazy, or I have a very lackluster A/C unit.

So, my 2019 Ranger first gave me a check engine light last month and I received a notice on Ford Pass that the turbocharger had reduced output. Dealership had it for almost 2 weeks because they were so backed up. Got it back after they did a software update for powertrain control module. Next day I’m driving it home from work and, with A/C on, hot air is blowing out of driver side vents and cold air out of passenger side. Called dealership and can’t get in for over a month. Less than 16K miles, not happy.

So I never got a check engine light but my A/C was doing the driver hot, passenger cold also. My local dealer took awile to open up a schedule but they did replace the HVAC box and it fixed the problem. I hope you can get your's done also. The wait is not fun but in the end it was worth it.

Thanks! I hope so too. It was nice enough today to drive without A/C, just hated to lose it for 2 weeks and who knows how long this time.

The 1234a is a very exact freon and ac systen. Not like the 134. If you need 3oz of 1234 the it has to be 3oz. Not 2.4 or 3.5. 3. The old system was very forgiving. 1.5oz over or under and it was ok. So techs and the equipment have to be very exact. Not saying thats the problem, but it is something to look into. Only the techs know. Unless you have a 1234 machine at your house. Very different than a 134 machine. And more money.

I haven’t done anything to system and still under warranty so Ford needs to figure it out.

So, haven’t been able to get Ranger into dealer yet, but 2 weeks after the a/c issue started, the driver’s side vents started blowing cold air again and has been working for over a week now ?‍♂!

I have a 2022 Tremor that has a problem with the A/C. On the first start of the day, it takes almost a full 60 seconds for the A/C to start blowing cool air. Subsequent starts during the same day are not a problem. I suspect this is a compressor issue.
