Well my issue with the hot air blowing out the driver’s side while on A/C came back again. It started working again last fall so I didn’t bring it in, but sure enough first warm day this spring and it’s back. Dropped it off at Ford dealer 12 days ago and just got it back today, luckily it only...
Yes my issue was with A/C but sounds like the actuator issue other people had with both heat and A\C that required entire dashboard to be removed to replace. Luckily mine started working again out of the blue, but I know it’s only a matter of time.
You can try with the dealership but I would also reach out to Ford also. Hopefully the more of us that contact Ford, consumer agencies, etc., the more momentum this will get to address…or maybe not.
Well listening to horror stories regarding the removal of the dash to fix this problem, I decided not to take my Ranger in. The A/C starting working on driver side again and now it’s winter. I hope it’s worked itself out (doubt that) but I don’t want them messing with it if it isn’t an issue...
Thanks for sharing this post. Sounds like a real pain in the butt to fix that seems to creat more problems. Since the A/C is working again and it is now winter I may just wait and hope it does not happen again
?. Plus if it’s not happening right now or doesn’t give them an error code, I do not...
So, haven’t been able to get Ranger into dealer yet, but 2 weeks after the a/c issue started, the driver’s side vents started blowing cold air again and has been working for over a week now ?‍♂️!
So, my 2019 Ranger first gave me a check engine light last month and I received a notice on Ford Pass that the turbocharger had reduced output. Dealership had it for almost 2 weeks because they were so backed up. Got it back after they did a software update for powertrain control module. Next...
I do the same, have done that for most of my vehicles, most of my life. Start up, wait for initial RPMs to come back down to idle. I have about 4 miles of 35 mph roads and stop lights before I reach highway for commute, usually by then it is warmed enough in winter to drive normally.
Yes they are, I just didn’t use them because the deflector seems so stiff that even when I push on it, it doesn’t make contact. I have been checking it after every highway trip to see if it seems like it maybe touching. I saved the bumpers in case I need them
I know I haven’t used the little bumpers either. The gap seems wide enough and even when I push on it, it’s hard to get the deflector to make contact with hood. I saved them just in case but so far no need IMO.
That's why I went with the Bug Deflector II vs the Aeroskin II. I really like the form fit and matte black look of the Aeroskin II, but I did not want to attach the Aeroskin directly to my hood via adhesive tape, I wanted the gap and I did want the lip to help with deflection of bugs and other...
I ended up going with the AVS BugDeflector II. Install was pretty easy once I employed wife's help, definitely easier with 2 people. I like the height of the deflector and lip, but also the gap between the hood and deflector. I liked the formed look of the WeatherTech but I was too concern with...
So seems like many of you are experiencing this issue, has anyone filed complaints with Ford? Not sure if this can be done or how for this issue, just inquiring. Due to COVID and working from home, I have only managed to put 3000 miles on my Ranger since I bought it last December, so fortunately...
Thanks for the info. I literally was on hold with them today and went to bring up my rewards account because I assumed they would need the number to add the points and lo and behold 11,000 points was added just yesterday sometime after I checked in the morning. Probably should have checked again...
