I’m curious what grade fuels are being used.
I’ve noticed mine runs better on premium and appears to get better mileage with it but I usually mix it up.

Has anyone use E85 yet?

I just joined the 430 mile high club. Dash says 25.4 mpg; fuelly calculated to 24.1 mpg. My 2019 ranger is only averaging only about 1/2 mpg less than my 2011 ranger did with a 2.3L and 5 speed manual, despite the new ranger weighing about 700 lbs more and being able to tow 5 times as much. I'm impressed. I drive mostly rural roads and towns with speeds between 40 and 65 mph.

No, don't run E85, you will most likely blow up the motor. I think tuners are tuning for E50, but it's a special tune.

I realize that I should have typed E15.

My first road trip with only about 100 miles on the engine. This surprising result was accomplished with a 4X2 with stock street tires (Bridgestone). Mostly highway driving with little elevation change and I did not exceed 65 on the interstate. I drove 240 miles on backcountry roads at 45 to 55 MPH. Basically I adhered to the advice of breaking in a new engine and tried to vary my speed as appropriate. My manual calculation was 28 miles per gallon, not much different

Towing my 7X16 foot cargo trailer I averaged 15.7 mpg over 892 miles. used a mix on 87 and 93 gas. trailer was empty with a weight of 2320 pounds. Both US highways and Interstates. Kept the speed down to about 60-65 mph. The trailer has a lot of frontal area.

89 Octane

Very consistent driving and easy on the accelerator. 75% 55-65 mph cruising 25% city/stop and go

See how the next 1000 miles go. Is increase in MPG after 1000 miles due to "programming" an old wives tale or real?

I use Top Tier 93 Octane because of a Livernois tune (which I highly recommend BTW).
I set the trucks Fuel Mileage Computer to zero before I drove it off the lot. Mileage was blah the 1st 1000 or so miles, between 18 and 19 or so. At 1800 miles it now shows 22.2
My driving is suburban/city with some country roads.
Today I set "Trip2" to zero and commenced my usual Saturday trek to the shooting range and back a 98 mile round trip with 2/3 of the trip country highway the other 1/3 city. Trip2 showed 26.1 mpg when I shut down in my driveway. Speeds were avg. 30 in city and avg. 65 in country.
I am pleased...

I am still averaging over 24 mpg from day one on my Trip #2 that I set when I picked up the Ranger. Fuel economy takes a hit pulling the dual trailer with both kayaks to the Gulf (an average round trip of 200 miles).

The trip yesterday averaged 29.1 mpg when I pulled in the driveway. Saw 30.4 not too long after filling up down at the Gulf. It peaked at 31.8 mpg, but I had a couple of small towns to go through that brought it back down. 57mph max on trip. All back roads.

Just did my second hand calculation after 2 trips to/from work. 87 octane, 114 miles 15% thru town and 85% 2 lane hilly winding back roads 55-60 mph. Computer read 24.7 mpg, took 4.798 gallons after 2 click fill up from same pump, 23.76 mpg. After almost 1,200 miles, truck is showing 23.0 MPG. I am going to run a full tank of mixed driving and see what I get.

Got 27mpg on the drive home with it, all highway.

Getting about 21mpg too and from work, lots of stop and go and I'm not used to the electric pedal yet.

Just had my first real road trip type of test. Driving was on mostly two lane back roads with some highway. Speeds varied from 80 on the good stretch, mostly 65 to 75 with some slow downs going thru small country towns. Total distance was 329 miles, mileage on screen show me at 23.6 mpg my manual calculation was 23.5 mpg. pretty spot on. Can't wait to get a straight highway run but will have to.
