At the ramp yesterday getting ready to launch. A negative .8 foot tide means dragging the kayak off the end of the ramp...lol! Drove slow down the 2 miles of dirt road to avoid mud puddles since I had just cleaned the Ranger.
Had a great day! 33 trout, 8 reds, 3 croakers and a catfish.?
Just got it back from the dealer after they found the problem wire in the trailer harness causing the fast internal signal flash. Other than that, zero issues in over 31,000 miles. Still loving the truck! Bakflip MX4 cover has been rock solid. Ready for the weekend and fishing in the Gulf?
They just called me. It's fixed! The culprit was a wire "on the frame" in the trailer wiring. I'll assume "on the frame" means the wire was worn or touching the frame in a way to cause a short.
Thanks for the great supporting information to point them in the right direction!
Thanks for the update! I passed the info on to my dealer. They still have my Ranger. 8 days now. I told the general manager I need it back Friday as I need to kayak fish this weekend. Hoping my issue can be fixed by replacing the rear trailer harness as well.

Ever since I took my Ranger in for that taillight harness recall, I have dealt with intermittent instances of the right turn signal flashing fast on the dash. The left signal has been fine. Even with the fast flash, all the exterior lights work properly. All of them. The dealer indicated they...
FYI - Use the white wire with the dark green strip in the wiring bundle under the door sill paneling on the driver's side (back seat door). That is the wire tied to the cargo lamp. So you can use the cargo lamp switch to activate the lights when you want. Bed lights will go out at 3mph or...
Added the tailgate damper that arrived today. A 5 minute install. Will also get the fender vents painted to match the lightning blue body color and then install those. ?
When I hauled just the one kayak in the bed, I used to just put the rods on the front passenger side and let the rods rest on each side of the front passenger headrest. Then use a small bungee cord with hooks to keep them from falling off the seat. Got tied of hearing the hard lures with...
