It's not as bad as the money grubbing lawyers want you to believe. The only ones who'll get anything out of this is the lawyers.
Over the weekend and end of last week I've been averaging 25.2MPG. The Trip2 meter says I have driven 260 miles or so, and it was all reset at the same time. It definitely increased when I put on the bed cover, but prior to that I was getting 23-24mpg...

Seems very reasonable to me on a truck with this much power and towing capability.

Oh, and I'm approaching 9500 miles. The truck had 7 when I got it.

I am very interested to see if the addition of my cover makes any difference in highway MPG. Driving from Dallas to Georgia next week Will be a good test.

XLT, 4WD, Crew Cab, FX4, current tally of 3320 miles on it (picked it up with 733 on it 3 weeks ago so I've got a bit of data to work with already)

Work commute (60mph with stoplights and some traffic): ~24mpg
w/ teardrop camping trailer (~1400lb): 18-20mpg @60mph, 15-17mpg @75mph
w/ camper and kayaks on roof of truck: 17-19mpg @65mph
Max I've gotten on a trip so far: 25.5mpg @60mph

Difference between hand calc and dash output is +/-1mpg, so I'm fine trusting the dash.

Definitely impressed and happy with what I've been getting!

Bought mine for a teardrop. Curious what model you pull for a reference before buying our teardrop. Thanks for great info

You will hardly know a teardrop is behind you... I'm towing a full size 22' camper 10'2" tall, 8.6" wide and it's no trouble at all.

We have a TC Teardrop, made in Wausau, WI nearby to us (~4hr drive). It's a wonderful little thing. We have the largest model, 5x10, with a empty weight of 1150lbs. Ends up being around 1400-1500lbs with all our stuff in it I'd estimate.

As someone else just mentioned, you do indeed barely notice it's there. I only use the tow mode to downshift when slowing to help a little bit, otherwise I don't really need to use it at all. Even accelerating up steep hills. The truck has so much power, torque, and gears that it just goes. The only reason I remember it's there is when I get a little extra jiggle going over bumpy railroad tracks or when the Blind Spot monitoring activates early. Tows like a champ!

Are you using towing mirrors or just the standard ones?

2000 miles, 21.1 mpg, this is mostly short jaunts around town so a lot of stop and go.

200 miles into trip home with new truck ( Super Crew FX4 ) Computer read 22.8 mpg. Took 8.7 gallons to fill up after click, wait 15 seconds click again. 22.9 mpg actual. Truck showed 24.0 mpg after 300 mile trip. Discliamer: Tires were overinflated by 15 psi....:lipssealed:

I have tow mirrors (universal), but I have yet to install them on the Ranger. I didn't really need them for the short trips this year, but later on when I go on longer trips, I will install them for sure.

Thank you for the reply. I will install tow mirrors when I get my 7X16 foot cargo trailer next week.

I thought 21.6 was going to be the top but it just hit 22.0 this week. Not sure how much higher it can go but I can't complain.

This is a Crewcab Lariat. I got the truck 9 weeks ago with 16 miles on it, now at 1600, driving in a rural area with a few freeway trips.

13.5-14.5 MPG with 125 miles, 99% city. I'm going easy on the pedal for a bit to see if I can raise this.
