Does the 2.3 have a buzz to it when accelerating? It’s hard to describe the sound. This is my first time with this motor, I am sure it’s normal, but want to check.

Mine makes a strange noise too under hard acceleration. Best way to describe it is loose dirt being shaken inside a coke can. It doesn’t do it all the time, but enough to catch my attention

Just cruise down an alley. Windows down wtih everything quiet.
You will hear buzzing clicking, beeping, buzzing, and clicks!!!......

Normal, scared the heck out of me the first time i heard them. Now its normal. Thats what the engine and tranny do.
So if you ever hear a click and buzz, instead of click click buzz. Then something is wrong.

In all seriousness. Its normal

Hi Folks,

At the Dearborn Ford Test Proving Ground we had a long solid wall called the sound wall that would reflect noises from the vehicle...Drive in both directions windows up and down....proved to be very useful. You should be able to find a solid wall at the back of a Big Box store, housing development etc.

Best,
Phil
