It was $449 last week on the Prime Deals day which is the best price I've seen in a few years. I just bought the EB55 for $399 (Amazon had a $100 off instant coupon) but I'd have bought the EB70 in a heartbeat for that price.

That sucks I wasn’t paying attention or missed and bought directly from their site for 499. Oh well still a good price and I had a 5% off coupon also.

That is still a great price. I really wanted the EB70 but at the time it was $150 more than the EB55 and for my use I couldn't justify spending the extra money. It it were only $50 I'd have bought it Mint color and all. lol But the EB55 has worked out perfect for what I use it for and they way things are changing in the Sol-Gen market there will be so many other reasonably priced power stations out in the next year or two.

Here's a good video to mod (yes there's even a mod for a fridge ) a separate fridge 12v plug. I haven't had any issues with mine just yet but I hear it's a common problem that the 12v comes unplugged from the power station very easy. Buying another cable and adding a 5521 connector to run from the power station is a cheap easy fix.

Once I finally pick one up I am just going to cut the 12v lighter off and hardwire it to a relay.

UPDATE:

After receiving my ICECO GO20 and my Bluetti EB55 power station, I fully charged the Bluetti and cooled the ICECO for a test in my home.

With the ICECO GO20 configured as only a fridge (with the freezer divider out) and fully cooled, I plugged it into the Bluetti with 100% charge. I put a 6 pack of cold beer in it along with 9 cans of Pepsi that were not cold, so the fridge had to work a little harder to cool these off. I checked back in 2 hours, and everything was cold as expected.

I have the fridge beside my desk at home, and I opened and closed it a few times to simulate usage (I also drank a couple of the beers and Pepsi.)

The Bluetti finally ran out of power after 47 hours. Not bad at all. Although the fridge might have to work harder in outdoor conditions (my office is between 75F and 80F), I have no doubt it would work for a full overnight and day without a charge.

My question for the experts (looking at you @AzScorpion) is how fast can the Ranger fully charge the Bluetti while running the fridge on the pass through charging? In other words, how many hours of driving (or running) the truck are needed?

I have the Ecoflow River Pro and the Iceco VL45. I used them both in the bed two weeks ago Wyoming. At the end of each day of driving - 6 hours or so - the Ecoflow was always fully charged and the fridge ran all day via pass through.. Then the fridge ran off the Ecoflow all night and would use around 10-15 percent of the power. I'm not sure about the Bluetti but the Ecoflow display tells right on it input and output and how long it will take to reach full charge while at it's current input/output state.

Rumour has it you’re planning to use the 12V Cooler as a relay box. That must mean you have BIG lighting plans that have some serious cooling requirements.

The ARB 10910076 cable works as a direct replacement and doesn't have the unplugging issue because the contacts are much longer and have more tension; mine never budged the whole trip, even at crazy angles and the truck bouncing around. $25-$30 at almost any site that sells ARB gear.

I do have the 720w version and I have the Wolf Haus 12V outlet with the marine connection and the cigarette lighter style pigtail. I don't know at what point the power station actually finished charging because it happened while on the road but it was always done before we got to camp at night and more than lasted the night running the Iceco. I think the math in that the power station should be able to run the fridge for over a day if needed. I also plan on buying the expansion battery for it next time it's in sale.

I heard the ARB 12v cables are a lot better. I'm getting a second fridge (should be here today) and will have a spare 12v plug so the only cost will be for the 5521 connectors. Plus I like that connection a lot better as there's very little sticking out from the power station where the 12v sticks out pretty far. There's less chances of something sliding into it and knocking it loose.

Meh only future lighting additions is adding some courtesy ground lights. I think I am tapped out of the lighting game as I already have 360 degree perimeter ability.

I dunno, maybe a giant flood light on a telescopic pole for camping? I'm out of ideas.

I had to go into the office yesterday, so I did a short, unscientific test of charging the Bluetti EB55 from the 12V outlet on the dash. My drive is pretty short, 20 minutes each way. I took a longer way home, but only ended up with 45 minutes of charging.

It appeared that it was charging. The screen lit up and the fan turned on. I did not notice if the bars went up while it charged, but when I made it home, it was still less than 20% charged. Since the screen only shows the charge in 20% increments, I can only say that it was less than 20%.

I went ahead and put it on the AC charger at home for 30 minutes, and it got up to 40%, so I am guessing that the 45 minutes on 12V got me somewhere between 15% and 20% charge, but not close enough to register 20%.

Next time I drain it completely again, I will try a better, more scientific approach, checking the charge every 30 minutes for a few hours of driving. Nevertheless, if it can be fully charged in 3 hours at 24V, it seems reasonable that it would take around 6 hours at 12V, unless an electrical engineer here can explain otherwise. Six hours is not bad for a road trip.

File this under “DUH” but somehow I could not find the recharging time of the EB55 when I looked before, but now I’ve found it.

Confirms my suspicions - just over 6 hours to recharge on 12V. I read on another thread that the 110 Outlet in the Ranger is limited to 150W, and the A/C charger appears to be 200W. The brick itself says that the input is 2.5A. That makes me think that it might work just fine off of the 110 outlet without risking blowing a fuse if the adapter adjusts for the lower wattage, but it would probably take 25% longer or close to 4 hours to recharge using the 110 AC adapter.
