I bought this one, but can't yet give it a review. I take it on its first trip tomorrow. We have two big road trips planned for later this year and it will ride on the back seat. The tests I've performed on it here in the house (using 110v) have gone well.

We're going on a long road trip and I needed something for food and drinks. I bought the one below, it's from Setpower which is the sister company of Iceco. I looked at these for a while and for the money these have great reviews and are very quiet. They have many different sizes and while this one is a little larger than I need it'll work as a back up for the house too. There are 2 baskets that come with it but I took them out for more room. I've been using it as a freezer for the past 2 months and it's been working great. It's only using 32 W in eco mode which is crazy low for its size. They have great sales right around every holiday and should be having one soon with Easter coming up. Even if they don't just call them (they're a small company) and ask to talk with Lu and he'll set you up with a great deal.

I love my ICECO. Been rocking the VL45 for about a year now and its been one of the best camping purchases I can think of.

Good to hear and all the reviews on both the Iceco and Setpower are great. The RV45 is the same as yours except yours has the better compressor with a 5 year warranty compared to mine which has a 3 year one. These are super insulated and run on very low power.

The Iceco has the Secop compressor with a 5 year warranty. The Setpower uses a different one (cant remember which right now) but I didn't feel the need to spend $150 more for the Iceco for my use.

This site has the most comprehensive guide to the non -big name fridges and power units I've found. Be sure to check his spreadsheets.

Yeah I sub to his channel and he has great reviews on these, solar panels and power stations. So far he's cost me a good chunk of money since I bought this fridge and a Bluetti EB55 power station off his reviews. lol His spreadsheets come in very handy!

I got a great deal on a Dometic CFX3 55IM a couple years ago. It's pretty awesome. I wish I'd bought a compressor fridge years ago. From what I understand, these things are such established tech nowadays that most of the brands are going to be pretty good

I've got a Setpower AJ30, a little smaller than you guys. It served use well on our 15 day trip to Arizona last year. Also camping weekends. Have a fridge in the camper but this was great for easy access to cold drinks and food while traveling. Had it plugged in to the Wolfhouse 12v plug in the truck bed, set to be always on. Ran overnight no problem. And will definitely freeze stuff.

That's a great cooler Lee and originally I bought the AJ40. After about a week I had an issue with the compressor, it seems to be running way more than normal. I called up Lu at Setpower and he sent me a return shipping label and upgraded me to the RV45 for no charge. Now that's customer service !

The AJ line is the perfect line for most use and they're a lot lighter than the RV45 which weighs 46 lbs dry. I'm actually thinking of getting the AJ30 when they have their Black Friday sale just for smaller trips and grocery runs.
