Quick update, but here are better photos of the break now that I'm replacing the OEM with Icon packs. It's not photoshoped lol.
The truck has towed, but a 1500 pound camper, so I don't think it's been overloaded at any point.
Judging but the amount of rust, it seems to have been like this...
Today, I was aiming to do a tire rotation. As I was jacking up the rear passenger, I noticed that I kept jacking it up further and further. I know there isn't that much travel...
Well, turns out, the passenger leaf spring sheared at the front shackle. Really not sure how this happened, or...
I'm up in the Denver metro area. Going to the dunes was part of a little camping road trip along with seeing the Royal Gorge. Never made it to the top of the dunes, so I plan on getting back there later this summer.
I was just there 2 weeks ago. Super nice weather, minus the wind while on the dunes. Glad I missed this storm haha.
Also, cool to see others with swag tents. Looking forward to use mine this summer.
Not sure on any part numbers, but I did have to replace a CV clamp recently. I picked up these from Amazon and they worked great. https://www.amazon.com/12pcs-Boot-Axle-Clamp-Adjustable/dp/B07RV7B96B
The winch mount is from 589 Fab. I like it, but if I had a choice, would have went with the Shrockworks winch mount just for the bull bar. I'm happy with the 589 though.
Any chance you can give an overview on how you made the grill? That thing looks miles better than any Raptor like grills and I wouldn't mind doing something like this as a DIY project.
After really taking a look, it's the CV binding up causing the wheel to stop spinning. It's shot, so I'll get it replaced.
Thanks for the reply, tho, I think I just had a moment of slight panic haha.
While installing some 5100s, the passenger side wheel spins freely, then gets binded up and stops after a few rotations. This happens when I spin it in both directions. The driver side doesn't do this.
I'm not sure what's stuck. Did the cv shaft get backed out some, I can't really tell.
