Yesterday, after just over 13 months of ownership, I crossed the 10,000 mile mark!

The realization came earlier in the week when I was driving home and it clicked how much I LOVE my truck!

The nasty suprise:
As I was mowing the lawn yesterday I looked over at my truck and saw someone had hit me when I was parked at work! (Seeing how it’s my weekend I already called in to have the cameras looked at so I can find out who did it).

Been quite the last few days!

Damn... someone just did this to my expedition and I’m still sore about it a week later. I don’t even know when it happened exactly as we went to 3 or 4 stores last weekend. Noticed it on Sunday washing the trucks. Hopefully you can find out who did it so you can charge their insurance!

Look for pointless dent repair or PDR repair in your area. That repair will take less than an hour maybe 30 minutes.

My wife had a big door dent caused by a shopping cart. Mobile repair came out and fixed it. Bondo is a thing of the past.

Here is a good video of what they can do now.

“Bondo is a thing of the past” lol. Couldn’t be further from the truth.
Don’t get me wrong PDR guys are doing amazing work these days. Their tools and training have improved immensely. I’ve used one myself 2 different times and I paint cars. However they are unable to do every kind of dent and are simply unable to access the back side of every area.

Sorry that happened, and sucks that it is in the door crease. By the the shape and size of the dent it looks like impact from a bike tire. Maybe one of your neighbors took his kid's training wheels off too soon?

I mentioned this in a previous post but I was washing my truck for the FIRST TIME...and lost balance on my step stool.

VERY minor dent...you literally have to look for it on the DS door...but I know its there. And that is enough. It was on me though and only could get angry at myself.

But that? I'd be looking to get a rope and a good solid tree branch. :|

My reply was to this thread. Not every type of body damage repair that can occur to any damaged vehicle.

The amount of damage to the OP that needs repair should be easily taken care of in less than an hour and can be repaired in a parking lot or driveway.

Bondo repair and repainting will take longer, cost more, and isn’t going to be done outside in a parking lot or driveway while the OP goes shopping.

Wife had her Mustang (2007 Maybe?) parked next to a contractors truck at Walmart. She came out and the hood had GIANT gouges in it and a dent. Right in he MIDDLE of the hood.
Through the paint and clear and made aluminum curly-q's where it shaved up.

Initially Walmart didn't want to review the footage because the cam footage is only to protect Walmart from damage - not the shoppers. We explained the damage value and lack of a note constitutes a hit and run and that if they have knowledge of it then they are an accessory. Also - He could have damaged Walmart property too.

They were able to confirm that he had something like a pole / pipe on the roof rack that fell off the truck and hit her square in the middle of the hood. We filed on uninsured / underinsured insurance coverage and USAA ended up going back on Walmart because the contractor was there working for Walmart. I don't know if USAA got reimbursed or not. We were out $500 deductible to have he hood fixed - and you could still tell it was off. Never right.

Just a quick update for everyone, work did check the footage, unfortunately because of where I was parked, view from the camera to my truck was obstructed by a tree. So, someone out there is getting off Scott-free. ??‍♂

More of the new mindset of "If I don't get caught, I've done nothing wrong".
