Dang - that is not a good sign at all! Broken part, no packaging, and no install instructions :(

Saw the eBay seller had a recent positive feedback from a buyer who bought one of these - pretty sure that wasn't you :)

Let us know if you are going to try again with the seller. Appreciate the update!
Well, the bad news is that I think this will not fit with a Trailer Hitch! Looks like the mounting bracket fits where the Trailer Hitch attaches! Thought for a moment I could slip it in between the hitch mount and frame, but there is a metal piece on the hitch mount that would interfere with the step mount! I’ll verify with the seller about the hitch.

Not really. The location would cover the hitch attachment bolts. Plus, for me this is a Lease.

Here's some pictures of an installed Step provided by the ebay seller. Obviously NOT for a North American Ranger. Even without a hitch, there is a Bumper support Bar that attaches in the location where this Step is mounted. It attaches pretty much the same way a Hitch is mounted, so this Step WILL NIT fit our NA Rangers!

Well, this won't work for me. I have a trailer hitch. I wonder if I would have the same problem with the Bestop??

That's what I'm think as well! But if you look under your Ranger, you'll see there aren't many, if any, options on where to attach the Step with the Hitch installed!! The Bestop example earlier in this Thread DOESN'T have a hitch!

There are definitely spots where you could probably clamp/mate a step to the hitch assembly itself, but that would require some custom parts.

You're right about that. These steps are Universal from the Retraction Section down to the pad. the upper section is specific to the vehicle it attaches to. A different attachment bracket could fit into the opening where the hitch attachment bolts are and it would work. The Attachment section with this one is obviously only for the non-hitch version and is well made for that purpose.

I bet you could either use just those existing holes, maybe also the hitch tube itself to take some of the load--no need to unscrew the hitch. Like a pair of forks that slide around the tube and another piece through the holes to hold it in place; two sides that nest right inside the existing bracket. But I don't know if there's enough of a market to bother.

I was just complaining about this yesterday to a friend.... WHY they did not include the step up like in the F150? Just a little toe hold is available when the tailgate is town and I had to climb up and in during the rain here and pull myself up. Pretty tall step up. I have a trailer hitch but that fix does not work with tailgate down.

I don't have a trailer hitch on my truck but perhaps this picture will help you decide it the mounting bracket on this step would interfere with your hitch. I've indicated the bracket in red in this photo. It uses the bed hold down bolt and an oval hole in the frame forward of that frame tab. I'll also include a link to the install instructions which I found a little confusing till I had the parts under the truck.

Hope this helps.

Could you post a picture of the mount from the perspective of this picture? looks like your step is to the LEFT of the Hitch mount area and may actually fit! The Rectangular tube on your Ranger is the bumper support tube, which is replaced with a bigger oval tube that supports the Trailer Hitch. If there's as much room to th eLeft of the Mounting location of the Trailer hitch as there is of the bumper support bracket, the Bestop step might fit. I've sent them a question on this so hope to hear form them soon.
