AirLine Tech - You may have missed it in my last post, the self-test for both BdyCM or FCIM ran successfully without throwing any codes.
EJH - yeah, sure hope it's not the HVAC box warp problem!
Ok - did a DTS scan for codes and only got a B11DB:08 (battery monitoring module). No other BdyCM or FCIM codes. What the heck?
In regard to the B11D8 code - I had my battery replaced last month and from that time on I noticed that my Auto Start/Stop had quit working. Just looked under the...
Man - wish you were closer to me :) Thanks for the info.
I've loaded down Forscan and have ordered a OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter that's on its way.
Not too familiar with using diagnostic tools like these but looking forward to learning!
Marc
Thank you for the detailed and informative response! This has helped me and I'm sure others in the future who may have the same issue as me.
Looks like I need to invest in a forscan device.
I'll keep the forum updated as get the device and scan for codes.
Again - really appreciate all the...
Thanks for the quick response Airline Tech!
To clarify a bit - when I first start the truck when the outside temp is around 70 degrees or higher the driver side air conditioning and vent controls work normally. The problem is when I start the car when outside temp is around 60 degrees or...
Saw a good discussion here on a similar HVAC question so I thought it would be good to start a new thread with my particular situation.
2019 Lariat, 96k
Last winter I thought I had a bad driver's side temp actuator. Heat was coming from the upper vents no matter how low I set the temp...
Thanks for helping the OP out. Does anyone have the part number for the special screws that mount the tailgate plastic (bedliner style) cover to the tailgate? If I remember correctly they have a recessed well/washer built into the screw.
Thanks
The original were screws with a torx (t-20) head. I'm the opposite situation as you - I need the screws for the tailgate cover as they are a "special" type of screw with a recessed washer head. Ford told me you only get the screws (for the tailgate) when you purchase the bed and tailgate cover...
I installed the tailgate damper on my Ranger a while back ago and am so use to it that when a neighbor brought over his new Ranger to show me - I opened his tailgate like I do mine, open and let go....and he looked at me like WTF, when it slammed down :(
Yes - a "harsh downshift" is a good way describe it. May be a combo of a quick acceleration then a quick braking as @mtbikernate mentioned
@P. A. Schilke - thought about what you said, and it's not really a "thump," but more like a quick double brake.
Think I will experiment with a quick...
Thanks for the quick responses and suggestions!
mtbikernate - thanks for the confirmation that others are seeing this
Ranger Pride - Will make sure I'm up to date on the TSBs
Phil - Will suggest to the dealer the driveshafts spline lube

First let me say that I really appreciate the info and guidance from this forum - you guys/gals are great!!
I have a 2019 Lariat 4WD with 25000 miles that I've had a strange "bucking" condition when coming to a stop. Had this since day one of buying the truck, but it happens so infrequently...
Tried the reset again but still cannot turn on the "connectivity setting". Notice that my modem does not have a serial number - maybe my modem IS the problem. About due for an oil change and will have the dealer check it out at that time
Thanks for the update and pics - it looks great! I think it was P0P's that also mentioned the spring appeared weaker than he expected. I like the close fit to the bumper when retraced. Assume that's it's easy to climb up and down into the bed? Let us know how it works out over the next couple of...
Mine still isn't working - try every other day...waiting for a miracle to happen. It worked last on Jan 3rd! Will have the dealer look at it on my next oil change.
I THINK my problem (according to FordPass Support) is that I'm not able to turn on (center dash menu) "Connectivity Settings"...
