He did say that before. I think Clay will actually break down and run it through the car wash once in a while which I guess is better than nothing. lol

My neighbor took his truck through the local automatic carwash.

It removed his antenna and proceeded to beat the driver side of his truck with it.

He had to lay on the horn to get anyone to realize that something was wrong.

The carwash paid to fix everything but he was without his truck for 3 weeks.

He traded the truck soon afterward.

Thank you. Dave @AzScorpion gets it. Most of the time I do let the rain wash my truck. This time of year though, and since we're practically in drought conditions. I will run it through the car wash at least once every couple of weeks.

The only car wash I’ll ever use are the true “touchless” ones or the ones with the wand where you do it yourself. Otherwise you’re just raking dirt all over you vehicle with those big microfiber towels. 😱

My truck has had a LOT of dirt raked over it like that since I bought it.
But it hasn't been "dampered", and so retains a rather high resale value.
No low-balls...I know what I've got!

Hoping this link is correct for anyone that wants to check out a Glove Compartment Organizer.
I have been wanting one since my latest Ranger was parked in my carport. Haven't seen one listed that said 2019-2023, so after trying to come up with something that didn't look like it belonged on Jeb Clampet's vehicle, I decided to try this one from Amazon. It says 2023-2026 or something like that, but Amazon is very easy to return to so I took a chance. It came today, and after getting my Structural Engineering degree to assemble it I was quite pleased with the outcome. Now I have a two level glove compartment. It sells for about $24.61 including my Florida state tax.

The fit is perfect. Remember, this has to be removed to take the glove compartment out of the opening. If it wasn't any good, I wouldn't have told the Forum that I make terrible choices!

Today's project was air hoses for the on board air. I printed some brackets to hold the hose, now there is a hose permanently mounted on each side. When it's time to air up after the trail, I can open the doors, drop the hoses, and connect one to each front tire or each rear tire and air up. I don't have to dig around for the hose anymore.

I am still working on how to store the hoses on the molle panes of the SmartCap but I think I have something figured out. Parts arrive tomorrow.

How much does a gallon of 87 cost in your area? Here in SouthernJersey (near Atlantic City ) we are at 4.25 a gallon as of yesterday (July 26th).

Sold it to Carvana. :bandit:

Never had an issue with it, but you all had me worried that the transmission was going to grenade at any moment. :D Seriously, I retired last year and only used it a few times to tow our travel trailer, which was also recently sold. In the 5 plus years of ownership, I only put a little under 16k miles on it. 95% of those miles were driving down south looking for places to retire. We finally settled in FL and quickly found out that a golf cart > 2nd vehicle, especially when you only have a 2 car garage. I will miss the versatility it offered, but it wasn't used enough to justify keeping it.

I pulled a few things out of it before the sale, so I'll be listing them for sale when I get a chance.
