  • Small Muffler W/ No Resonator = Ricer Sound
  • No Muffler No Resonator = Wow, That is One Big Weedwacker
You can hear a bunch of combos on the Ecoboost mustangs on YouTube.
You did not list muffler delete, I deleted the muffler and kept the resonator.

Take it as you will, quick revs, in my garage, not full operating temp yet. As you know will sound a little different under load and warmed up. Sound is all perception, so you decide. I’ll try and get some driving ones. But for the most part the MRT full length video with drive by’s should be similar sounding.

Your dropping some serious cash. Never buy any exhaust system unless you hear it in person. This is especially true on a 6 or 4 cylinder as they are much harder to develop a good sound, as opposed to a V-8... It's hard to screw up a V-8 exhaust note....

Well, I’m in Northern Colorado if anyone would like to get a listen one weekend.

The MRT website states "The MRT EcoFlow Full-length #90R202 has a deep and refined muscle car sound."

Yeah.. that's bullshit. It sounds nothing like a muscle car.

Link to the MRT videos.

Can’t agree more that the tone description is a lie. But the sound is similar to the AFE Apollo GT Axle Back. They both are straight piping with no muffler or resonator. Main difference is mine is factory 2.5”/2.25” to 3”. Not 3” from downpipe back.

I like the way that sounds, but I’m not sure I want to spend $300. I’m not excited about making this 4 banger have some tone to it. There’s a fine line between a good sounding 4 cylinder and it sounding like a straight piped civic. I really enjoy how quite the truck is so I may just leave it as is. But if a resonator delete will give me a little tone then that might be the way to go. Plus it’s only $75

One of us has to try it eventually lol. I just don't have time right now or I'd do it.

Ya i will probably end up doing it lol

EDIT: Scheduled 9am Monday
I had an 06 Focus hatchback I did a resonator delete on back in the day. It honestly sounded great, just a little more tone and sounded nothing like a Honda. Hopefully you get similar results.

Cool, yea i had a 2015 Fiesta with the 3cyl 1.0 ecoboost and i remembered i did a muffler delete and it was too much for me. I think the resonator will be perfect

I think my laptop speakers aren't helping me determine what any of these videos actually sound like

Dude the struggle is real, honestly between people recording with poor audio and me with my iPhone 7 listening, I’ve determined you pretty much have to hear it in person
