I appreciate your argument. Pretty sure my Livernois tuned 2.3 is producing more than 315HP. Sub 6 second 0-60 would suggest that's true.
Yeah not that hard to get a turbo engine from 270 to beyond 315 with just a tune. But imagine you end up tuning the 2.7. They take very well to tuning. I dunno pros and cons. But the 6th gen gets the super @&$ rotary shifter doesn’t it? To me that is a non starter. Column preferred but can settle for a console shift.

The tunes aren't available yet, but I was assured they are coming. It still has the stick shifter, thank goodness, I dislike the rotary switch as well. My wife's Edge has it. It's stupid.

Struggle is over! Somebody else bought it. $8100 under MSRP. I didn't even get up the gumption to go test drive it. No loss. We'll see what deals pop up this time next year.

Do it!! The new ranger is everything the 5g should have been! I ha e been driving a 24 for almost a year now, and this truck is sooo much better. Integrated brake controller, trailer profiles, lots of power still bigger truck, not by much but still bigger, dont like the digital dash, but just do it. Would love the 2.7 but do not want 4x4

2000lb trailer, 4800lb pathfinder. Pulls no problem. GEN-Y GLYDER HITCH

Do it!

2024 XLT, 4x2, elocker, intergrated rake controller, azure grey

Eli, you've got me convinced on the 6G Ranger. But I still have to finish paying off the 5G that I have and as Grandpa would say. Boy, make sure you get all of the good out of this one before you move on lol.

Just look at it as it wasn't meant to be. That's how I approach things now instead of getting mad like I use to I just move on to the next one. Who knows, maybe a Ranger Raptor will come along for a good price?

When we were looking at houses here early last summer there were a few I really liked but then by the time ours in AR sold they were already gone. As luck would have it the one I bought popped up at the beginning of August and it was much nicer and had a ton of updates done than the others, and it was cheaper. BTW I was never one to have had any patience. I guess as you get older (and wiser) you tend to develop some. lol

Patience may be a virtue but sometimes you can wait too long..........

They had 5 Rangers of various trims marked down pretty good. Then they have a Raptor that is only marked down $800. They have another Azure gray Lariat, but it's a 2.3L. If I am going to spend the money, I want the V6.

I agree I'd want the 2.7 also especially since is had both DI/PI injection.

I'm surprised the Raptor was marked down at all right now. I thought it would take a few years or a recession before discounting them.

Heck, I was only expecting around 20k for my '21 with over 75k miles on it. I even got a Carvana offer for right around there.
I'll have to keep my 19. CarFox sent a report last week that mine was worth $11,680. :frown:

I keep hearing that the used market is still high yet KBB keeps sending me quotes for my Ranger that keeps on dropping. Go figure.

You have to take into account your Ranger is now 7 years old, a base model, no warranty, and since 2025-26 years, is now considered "the old version". Also, they do have a right to make a profit from your vehicle after they buy it.
When I sold my 2021 to Carvana, we watched it on their web site, and eventually it sold for only $1200 more than they gave me for it....
Once a new model comes out the prices for the "old models" drops very rapidly....

That's why I plan on keeping it. Wait till It's classic & really cash in. Besides it has everything I want & nothing I don't need.
