I remember reading somewhere and the guy told me that a few were actually outfitted with four wheel drive gear to make sure they got through the scenes in the creeks and water shots.Say what?
makes sense I guess.I remember reading somewhere and the guy told me that a few were actually outfitted with four wheel drive gear to make sure they got through the scenes in the creeks and water shots.
- The 4x4 Episode: In the episode "Arrest Jesse Duke," a modified 4x4 version of the General Lee was used.
I remember JP telling me some of the cars that came in on the transport when they got the one they bought looked lIke they were folded in half.makes sense I guess.
I remember it was a very large number... kept the paint shop up and running. There were telltale signs in a few episodes for those who looked close enough.I remember JP telling me some of the cars that came in on the transport when they got the one they bought looked lIke they were folded in half.
They used between 300 and 350 Chargers. What a waste.
Damn, what memories!I remember it was a very large number... kept the paint shop up and running. There were telltale signs in a few episodes for those who looked close enough.
Oh and while we're on the Dukes of Hazard, Waylon Jennings mentions in the tail end of the song that they only show his hands (playing the guitar) and not his face on TV. in the 3rd verse toward the end of the song.
I'm a good ol' boy
You know my momma loves me
But she don't understand
They keep a showin' my hands
And not my face on TV
The only reason I brought it up was that I was iistening to his album and the song came up. I'd never listened to the entire song before.
I just wanted to comment on this, was watching a YouTube mechanic "Royalty auto" i belive ,and he was saying that when he has a truck with any drivetrain issues and calls the 3rd party warranty , that some have sent in inspectors and the first (and only sometimes) thing they do is open the drivers door and snap a picture of the tire info sticker, then they snap a Pic of the tire size , if its not the right size , they can and will and HAVE denied coverage because it's "modified"...or having non-stock tires was the likely cause for my engine failure... seriously WTF?
Well, they would not pay for an EGR something valve on my Grand Cherokee because I modified the engine with a K&N cold air intake…..I just wanted to comment on this, was watching a YouTube mechanic "Royalty auto" i belive ,and he was saying that when he has a truck with any drivetrain issues and calls the 3rd party warranty , that some have sent in inspectors and the first (and only sometimes) thing they do is open the drivers door and snap a picture of the tire info sticker, then they snap a Pic of the tire size , if its not the right size , they can and will and HAVE denied coverage because it's "modified"...
They kept pushing extended warranty when I bought my Ranger new and I finally said one more word about warranty and I am walking out. This Nightmare Situation Is Why You Need To Be Careful With Extended Warranties! - YouTube https://share.google/bnXfDFZARdmk88iEx
Same thing for not fixing a transmission because you took it “off road”. The truck had OFF ROAD on the decals!!!No way I'd buy an extended warranty. For the above stated situations. But also because with 30 plus years as an ase master tech. I have seen how the companies bend the customer over. They will not pay for diagnostics and they send used parts. Your better off to trade in on a lease every 3 years than to try to pay it off. And expect a extended warranty to take care of it. Bottom line. THEY WON'T!
FORD SUCKS PERIOD!Same thing for not fixing a transmission because you took it “off road”. The truck had OFF ROAD on the decals!!!
Then there's this tidbit of informat The AMC Substitute: As the show's production continued and Chargers became scarce/expensive, producers used other, more available muscle-style cars, including some AMC Ambassadors that were modified to look like the iconic orange Dodge, ion.I remember it was a very large number... kept the paint shop up and running. There were telltale signs in a few episodes for those who looked close enough.
