My four years in the Navy left me without ever setting foot on a ship. I was a P-3 mechanic. Our deployments involved the entire squadron relocating for 6 months. Do not regret it at all. But military life was not my thing.Ummm, never hit West PAC, Iwo came to the east coast to Norfolk just before I boarded, and we were all Med cruises. Operation Nimbus Star clearing mines in the Suez where the air coming in the vents was 100. 650 psi steam at 860 degree superheated. Pleasant working conditions 18-20 hours a day. Ah yes, the good ole days.
