I am tall, so my line of sight is high, so anything hanging just blocks me more. before I got an auto dimming mirror, I would move them up as high as I could so I could see.

Some of the cars I see with so much crap hanging from the RVM, leaves me shaking my head. Once in a blue moon, I'd see someone with stupid stuff lining their dash. Ducks, bobble heads etc.

Mine does in NM. So i keep it in the door pocket and hang it when I park. But my little wooden cross always stays there. Sorry can't post any pics as I'm in the hospital with pnumonia and afib presently. Supposed to get out this afternoon.
Get well and take care!

Missouri tag has it. Do not hang while driving people do it all the time. Mine stays in the door pocket when not in use. I don't like anything hanging. Besides blocking vision I find it distracting.
The state inspector here in Virginia will not inspect the vehicle with anything hanging on the mirror at all. He even took my cross down one time so I take it down now before inspection and put it back up as soon as I drive out.

My stupid parking pass for work that HAS TO BE THERE or the security guy stops me like I’m some Chinese spy trying to steal government secrets. lol Dude knows me by name and I’m the only one driving a ford ranger… Last time he tried to stop me, I told him that I have keys to literally every government owned building in the city.
Also reminded him that he’s guarding a parking lot and he’s not a secret service agent. Open the damn gate, go sit back down on your folding chair, and eat your snacks that your mommy made for you… 🖕😂
Had to have the pass hanging on the mirror to get through the check point at the nuke I retired from. They eventually made the pass so you could hang it on the mirror arm instead of hanging below the mirror.

Don't get me wrong, there are tons of people driving around Va. with over-tinted windows. I just like to keep my chances of getting pulled over as low as possible. I rarely even speed more than 5MPH over.
I rarely speed but here it wouldn't really matter because just about everyone drives 10+ mph over the limit. Same with tint. Mine you can at least see a shadow of the driver and passenger but many here have limo tint. The only reason I got it so dark was because of the sun/heat. It helps keep the interior cooler being that dark but it's a nightmare to see out of at night. I usually have to roll down my windows to see to double check.

For the longest time it was just my Dog Tags from the Army, it's been in every car since I've been out. I'm not one to hang a lot from there, just like to keep it simple. Recently though, I added this guy :like:.

Same here. Haven’t had a speeding stop since about 98 and have had +5 points for probably 20 years. I got nowhere to go and all day to get there.

Would like to hang mine, but the old ones have your SS Number on them. Would not want to display that out in the open.

Mine are way over the legal limit at 15%, I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over. I've been through just about every state from here to the mid west since getting my Tremor but of course I probably just jinxed myself! 🤦‍♂️

Keep in mind that guard is doing exactly what hes getting paid to do when he stops you for not displaying your pass. Your company hired his company to check for passes for a reason, and there's a very good chance he cannot know from one day to the next who might have been terminated the day before and may no longer be allowed on property that day. So him knowing your name is irrelevant to the process he has to go through to keep HIS job and his company keeping the contract for that site.

It only takes one screw up for something bad to happen on site and for he and his company to lose their site.

As a security supervisor myself, I can attest to the tedium of having to ask the same people and vendors the same questions multiple times a week...even though I know who they are and exactly where they're going. But I do it because that does somewhat protect the community and keeps myself and my guards and company employed at my site.

And I fix my own lunch.
