How the heck do you remove this dash/switch cover?

I'm 80% complete on a Redarc Liberty Pro trailer brake controller and planned to put the adjustment knob on an unused switch panel behind the turn signals on my 2023 XL. How the heck do you get this thing out?

Get it from the backside or pull the panel which is a pain. It should be pressed in with clips on the backside.

Realistically pull the below light switch panel first and check access from there. I’ve never done that but that is what I would do for starters.

I certainly hope you have plastic body tools. Get them on Amazon for about 8 bucks.

The whole panel comes off, to get a better view from the back side.

When viewing a panel with the mirror switch, I can assume that the blanking plate also has attach crews.

So, for a clean looking install that blanking plate will most likely be (1) piece, and you could cut the (mirror fold) switch (Circle) off and glue in place or trim it down to only open the square hole.

Oh my goodness, thanks @airline tech. I would have never got it off with my approach. I'll get the whole cover off today and see if its screwed in.

I have never towed a trailer in my new ranger, but I will tell you as a person who has the seat all the way back these are not visible while driving. if your hands are at 10 and two, you can't see it at all it took me ages to get the feel when I closed my mirrors when I park in my carport
