Looks good, real good.
What sort of switch (if any) do these come with?
I'm almost certain if you were to get the schematic for the circuit you tied into you could configure it to be hot all the time. No doubt the plug you tapped into is also tied in with the interior 12 VDC circuit. If there is a relay in the circuit the task is made all the easier.
Perhaps another member has an electrical troubleshooting manual of which he could send you a copy of the circuit diagram?
These come with a push button switch I mounted just inside the tailgate.

On second thought, if you are into modding with Forscan you could set the delay off time. Fullscale's post brought this to mind.

I've only gotten any of the circuits to last for 2 hours after the vehicle is off.
I have a cellphone booster plugged into my power port in the cab and leave it on all the time. It will only stay on for that 2 hour period so I don't worry about the battery being dead.
Also, the 12V bed plug circuit turns off the same 2 hour period.
Maybe forscan could be used to change that power down protection time frame.

Two hours is a long time, but to initiate that timer countdown doesn't the ignition need to be cycled to the on (or even engine run) positions for the timer to start counting down?
To me this would be an inconvenience if all I want to do is turn the bed lights on.
If I do install bed lights I'll look into wiring them with the existing cargo light circuit or to be hot at all times and rely on a separate switch to activate them.
Don't have my 2020 Lariat or a Ford ETM for it yet, but will look into ordering a hardbound copy from Helm Inc., just as I've done with all my previous new Ford's.
Just one more potential project of several I've planned for my new SuperCab, what fun!

That's a problem for overlanders...I will have a fridge in the bed. It doesn't draw much power but sure don't want it shut down every 2 hours. Hope someone has a solution.

OMG, that would be sacrilege!
Gotta keep those cold ones nice and chilled, not to do so is considered "alcohol abuse" in my book!

Actually, my wine doesn't need the fridge but the steaks do:wink:

I went directly to the battery terminals with an in-line fuse for my under-hood LED strip lights but that has a switch and uses very little power when on. There are several bolts you can attach to before or after the main battery fuse. I would recommend after the main fuse with a small in-line fuse near the battery because you would be running a wire back to the bed that could be damaged later. I also use wire loom to protect any wires I run, cheap insurance.

I did that sort of direct wiring for my underhood lamp. Will need to tap that line and run it all the way back...PIA but I think my only option.

OK. I have read so many posts and pages that I got lost from the original page(s).
What I am looking to do is hook up my bed lights so that they only come on the same way that all the courtesy lights come on when entering or exiting the truck.
Have seen it mentioned once or twice but no one seems to say where or how to wire it. Is it in the taillight housing or elsewhere? Thanks.

Got these motion sensor LEDs off amazon and they fit perfectly under bed rails
Can be recharged USB
I used Velcro to stick magnet to rail and the light fits right over it
Came in a 3 pack
Super versatile
I’ll be getting more

Same thing I used only I used small strong magnets instead. Works great.

Bonita Springs? I used to live down Coconut Rd. Moved in 98. It sure did change a lot.

Moved here in 09, in 98 it must have been a ghost town compared to now, lots of building
