I saw something on this website that caught my interest. I'm a total pic-whore so I decided to post my truck in the VEHICLE SHOWCASES at the bottom of the page. It took a few minutes to type in all the details.

You are required to attach a photo of your vehicle before you can save (or post) your what you typed up.

That is the problem...

That page will not allow pics to be uploaded. I cannot get a pic to upload on that page. I can upload pics everywhere else. Just not on that 1 page.

I've emailed to site builders about the issue 3x's. No response.

I'm bummed because my work was for nothing. And,,, that's a cool page to check out the details of someone's build without having to read a 20 page build thread.

Anyone know how to fix that or who to contact about it (that can actually fix the issue) ?

It’s been an issue for a long time. I’ve PM’d the Admin, no response. Mods have no ability to fix the issue. You’re kind of stuck unless the Admin does something about it.

It might be related to the file extension - maybe file size. I’m just guessing here. If you have photoshop, you might try saving an image as different file types (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, etc.) and see if they load. 🤷‍♂️

Maybe they'll read this and address the issue. 🙏

I think it is file size. Keep images to 1024x768 in jpg format and things work fine. Go bigger and things become troublesome!

I shrink images to this size and don't have a problem. Be sure to maintain aspect ratio when you do.

My luck with reducing size to around 900 x 600 in .jpg format and less than 500kb has been hit and miss. Some have been successful - some have even uploaded successfully and then not actually saved. Bummer.

I've got to where I simply drag and drop them in the message body. With success. I do keep them below 500K. Usually around 200K (90% reduction in png or jpg when I save the resized image).

I am sure there is image and file size limits, as I have bumped against them, but 1024 x 768 has worked for me with 90% compression in jpg.

I do this from a computer, not a phone. Can't speak about phone apps as I don't use them.

I resize and save using Pinta in Linux. It is a multi platform app written using Mono libraries so it works for Apple Macs, Windows, and Linux.
