The Weather Tech mud flaps just paid for themselves. Without them there would be more mud slung down the side of OTR Ranger.

The trucking thing....gets in your blood. Hard to not identify with it even after being out of it for a very long time.

From what I saw in the forecast, we have chances for rain all the way through to Monday. And what I have always heard ever since I was a kid.
If you don't like the weather in Texas, give it 5 minutes, it'll change. Lol

Holy crap! You weren't kidding about getting blanketed with snow. I agree with you, it's to early in the season for that. Ya'll stay warm!

Well ya'll, it's about to get a little colder here in North Texas. Forecast is showing daytime temperatures in the 60s and 70s and nighttime temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
Which is why in the recent picture of the truck that I posted it's backed up in front of the house with the drivers side facing the South.

We just drove through Northern TX on I-40 and man was the wind whipping!! I'm talking 50 mph winds with higher gusts that were blowing my truck (and the rigs) all over and it was cold for TX.

Dave, I just backed up in front of the house no more than a couple of minutes ago. After driving through the cross wind on Highway 82 East and the farm market roads heading toward the house.

I took this picture a little after 4 PM after the previous post.
I was standing by the passenger side of the truck looking North toward the river.

OTR, backed up on the parking pad,and I'm looking to the South.

To quote @IdahoRanger, "too damn early in the season for this."
My thoughts exactly.
On the upside, the truck is looking the way that I want it to. A sort of toned down version of Sid's @Msfitoy Ranger. Lol!
New grill and off road lights are next on the list. Followed by a much needed shock upgrade.

I went by and visited with my Mom and Step Dad for a little while after work.

Then I stopped by the car wash and gave it a FTB before heading home.

Best mpg to date. After having the extra weight of the trailer hitch installed. This is using the cruise control exclusively to borrow a word from Chris @Chris M, and Hypermiling to borrow one from Sid @Msfitoy.

Haven't really had a reason to say this in a while. But, eh....
