Can the keypad be added with forscan or dealer only?

Being that the Ford FDRS has a specific tab to program it (new install) its a dealer install, unless you do the trial 2 /3 day use of the FDRS software, but note however it requires a J2534 compliant passthrough cable - the OBDLink EX is not a compatible cable, the cheapest cable outside of cables that come with scan tools such as Snap-On or Topdon is about $500 If I recall. Can the keypad be added with forscan or dealer only?
You're a living encyclopedia for ford rangers.Being that the Ford FDRS has a specific tab to program it (new install) its a dealer install, unless you do the trial 2 /3 day use of the FDRS software, but note however it requires a J2534 compliant passthrough cable - the OBDLink EX is not a compatible cable, the cheapest cable outside of cables that come with scan tools such as Snap-On or Topdon is about $500 If I recall.
It would be the Mongoose cable - I have that part number somewhere
